SOAP

We make a lot of soap…it’s an addiction! Personally, all the bath and body products is like cooking to me. Brewing up that perfect batch…blending bases with oils, special ingredients and fragrances. The whole thing is a labor of love. I am my own worst critic, so I promise its been through about a dozen changes before anyone outside my workshop sees, smells or tries it out. My biggest peeve is someone telling me my soap is too pretty to use…please, use it! I’ll make more, I promise! Haha. Anyway…we have some plain(ish) bars too.

Most of our bases are detergent free. Why? Because there are so many people out there that have skin sensitivities (my kids included) and we try to stay as pretty basic with our ingredients. A list of ingredients for each product is on the individual listing and packaging. Our base product is listed here for your convenience. Please browse through our catalog, stop by the Studio or come visit us at a local show.

If you are looking for a specific blend of oils, base and fragrance we love custom orders. All custom soap has a two bar minimum. Want to order bulk or wholesale? We do that too. Give us a call or send over an email.

Some of the add-on ingredients we use in soap:

Bentonite Clay – used for all types of skin problems. The electrical charge in bentonite, when combined with water, makes it act like a sponge and draws impurities.

Kaolin Clay – helps cleans and exfoliate, absorbs oil, soothes irritated and sensitive skin, thought to treat acne.

Activated Charcoal – draws toxins naturally, thought to reduce instances of acne and other skin impurities. Charcoal soaps can replace harsher cleansers and work to clarify skin without drying it out.

Avocado Oil – Cold pressed avocado oil is one of the richest sources of beneficial monounsaturated fatty acids like oleic acid. Not only is avocado oil extremely good at hydrating and softening your skin, is it also often recommended as an effective treatment for acne and blackheads, eczema and other forms of skin inflammation.

Evening Primrose Oil – Evening Primrose Oil is an exceptionally nourishing oil for the skin because it is high in the essential fatty acid “gamma-linolenic acid”. Evening Primrose Oil is often recommended for dry skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis.

Hempseed Oil – fatty acids in hempseed oil help protect skin from excessive water and moisture loss.

Sweet Almond Oil – renowned for its rich concentration of oleic and linoleic essential fatty acids. Slow absorbing, excellent for dry skin.

Vitamin E – It is well known for its skin loving properties, including its ability to protect the skin from free radicals. Antioxidant properties also benefit the skin, particularly aging and scarred skin, by neutralizing the oxidant effects of free radicals, and the general damage – wrinkles, fine lines and dryness – that free radicals can do.
